Author Guidelines
PUIRJ is an international publisher of open access, peer-reviewed journals quarterly publishing full-length papers four times a year. The journal publishes original research articles from multiple disciplines. The primary goal of the journal is to publish research articles for wide dissemination to the scientific community and to catalogue the current scholarly results sourced from across the world.
The journal publishes quality articles in a wide range of scientific subjects, such as Plant and Animal research, Technology, Engineering, Medicine, Management, Social Science, and Physical Education. This journal provides a platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and students across the globe to share knowledge in the form of high-quality research work in all disciplines. Only original research papers are published in this journal. A submitted paper must meet certain criteria, including being original, unpublished, not submitted to any other journal, and free of plagiarism and meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence.
Duties of Authors
1. Reporting Standards: Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable. Review and professional publication articles should also be accurate and objective, and editorial opinion works should be clearly identified as such.
2. Data Access and Retention: Authors are asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if practicable, and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
3. Originality and Plagiarism: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism takes many forms, from passing off another paper as the author's own paper to copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of another paper (without attribution), to claiming results from research conducted by others. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.
4. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication: An author should not, in general, publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.
5. Acknowledgement of Sources: Proper acknowledgement of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
6. Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or another substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
8. Fundamental errors in published works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
9. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects: If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must clearly identify these in the manuscript.
Publication Frequency:
PUIRJ publishes FOUR issues per year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
PUIRJ accepts the following types of articles:
- Original Research Articles
- Survey Article
- Short Communications
- Review Articles
- Informative Article
- Case Studies
Publication Charges
The journal does not charge article submission fees, access fees, publication fees, or page charges for manuscripts submitted on or before June 30, 2022.
Peer Review
All the manuscripts submitted to PUIRJ undergo initial checks after which they will be assigned to at least two independent experts for a double-blind review process. The reviewers will submit their recommendations to the editorial office along with the reviews. The Editorial Board will decide on manuscripts once all the reviews have been received. The decision will be any of the following:
- Accept
- Accept with minor revision
- Accept with major revision
- Revise and Resubmit
- Reject
The results of the review will be communicated to the authors, and they will receive an e-mail once their manuscript has been accepted for publication. A manuscript that is rejected for publication cannot be reconsidered for publication again.
Article Withdrawal Policy & Charges
Pre-Publication Withdrawal: The author is allowed to withdraw the manuscript without paying any withdrawal penalty, if the author(s) requests a withdrawal of manuscript, within 48 hours of submission.
Post-Publication Withdrawal: If the author(s) requests a withdrawal of manuscript, after the peer review process or in the production stage articles it has been typeset (but which have not been formally published) or published online; then authors need to make a withdrawal penalty. It will cost him/her as follows:
Per Article after peer-review ( for India Rs: 1,500/- and for other Countries $60/-)
Per Article after peer-review and typesetting ( for India Rs: 2,000/- and for other Countries $85/-)
However, withdrawals are not permitted after publication.
The publisher has the right to withdraw an article if it is found to violate the ethical publishing guidelines of the journal (such as multiple submissions, fake claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, etc.).
